The sea world seems very interesting. Anyway I will also try to visit real (i.e. natural) beauties of Florida, as suggested by Jerry. Unfortunately I will not have time for a decent visit, although I am going to waste about 8 hours in different airports, waiting for flight connections! And, if you can catch a ride to Tampa, Florida check out Busch Gardens. > Hi Mario, As a survivor of the FL theme park marathon with my kids in 98, I disagree with Laura for the following reasons: Sea World is nice but you probably have the equivalent in Italy. Epcot is like a gathering of world cultures, as a european you probably have enough exposure to that. Forget the Disney stuff, you can always go to Eurodisney. Now the studios are cool, I think it was Universal over there (not MGM) but they had incredible rides. We particularly enjoyed Terminator (a must-see in 3D) and Back to the Future but they might have some new hight-tech ones since we went. Keep in mind that in half a day in summer you barely have enough time for 2 or 3 major rides (long lines= an exposure to U.S culture in itself). So shoot for the popular ones first before lines get too long and expect to wait 1-3 hours for each basking in the sun, crazy isn't it? PS: A friend of mine here is a scientist specialized in the photosynthesis of plants. What's your specialization? Of course, this is not really about helping Nader. It is all about helping President Bush and hurting Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry's campaign in a closely contested state. The Michigan GOP denies that, of course. Matt Davis, a spokesman for the group, said it was merely concerned about third-party candidates being left off the ballot. He could not name, however, another third-party or independent candidate his party has helped. Believe me, I feel your pain, Mike. But things aren't SO bleak...in the last year we've gotten a "Beat Of Black Wings", "Tea Leaf Prophecy", "Ethiopia", "Yvette In English", THREE "Man From Mars", all of which are top notch in my opinion. Hopefully as these tunes get more exposure they will draw out more covers from these albums. And some of them are RIPE for re-interpretation to free them from the glossy synthesized production on Joni's records. But like I always say..."I don't records 'em, I just collects 'em", Besides I still enjoy a well done "common" song too. And for those of you keeping track, the current leaders are: 1) Both Sides Now (352 times) !! 2) Big Yellow Taxi (118) 3) Woodstock (113) 4) The Circle Game (73) 5) River (71) 6) A Case Of You (56) 7) Chelsea Morning (54) 8) Urge For Going (40) Bob ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jul 2004 01:26:47 EDT From: LCStanley7@aol.com Subject: Re: tourist info, njc Laurent wrote: Now the studios are cool, I think it was Universal over there (not MGM) but they had incredible rides. Hiya Laurent, Yes, Universal has a whole theme park in Orlando. MGM is also in Orlando, associated with Disney. I haven't been to either of these studios theme parks, but Florida is my home away from home because I have cousins in South Florida, and my best friend lives in Tampa so I have often heard about the studios and know they are fun. Sea World... I really love it! I used to water ski a lot and really dug the ski shows at Sea World. The aquatic sea animals fascinate me. My son caught a starfish when we were on the beach in Florida a little over a week ago. We let it go, but it was so cool to watch in my son's sand bucket for a while.
