Hi Kate, Could that story be "The Old Testament book of the telephone company" in his collection of stories and sketches, "The Tokyo-Montana Express"? Another of his books I thoroughly enjoyed! I've got two editions of it on my shelves, one an American pb edition (Delacorte Press) with a fantastic colour photograph on the back cover. I bought it for A$1 at an old book sale a couple of years ago. Best, John __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Protect your identity with Yahoo! Ms Lacey, as they say on the west side of Cincinnati, "You done good, kid." "JM: WOHaM" has the richness of an art film. My favorite is the editing when Joni's talking about marrying Graham but then she remembers her destiny is to be the artist that her grandmother Wanted to be. The way Ms. Lacey cut that film, those images, is as good as it gets. I'm in. Lama BobS said, in part, >There are so many moments that I appreciate about Ms. Lacy's 'work of art' - I just think it's wonderful. I really ought to take notes and list a bunch of them that push my buttons.> ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Nov 2003 02:05:27 -0500 From: ljirvin@jmdl.com Subject: Today's Library Links: November 9 On November 9 the following articles were published: 1995: "Cat Fight: Chrissie Hynde Hits Carly Simon At Joni Mitchell Show" - Addicted To Noise website (Review - Concert, with photographs) http://www.jmdl.com/articles/view.cfm?id=40 1999: "Joni Mitchell To Sing On Next Album From Jazz Drummer Brian Blade" - AllStar Website (News Item) http://www.jmdl.com/articles/view.cfm?id=439 ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2003 #557 ***************************** ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here: mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:joni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe ------- Siquomb, isn't she?
