The information statement accompanying the listing states that Westwood Music wants to make sure that the guitar is sold to a "fan." I guess they mean a "fan with SERIOUS cash!" Given the guitar's current condition, they may be a little optimistic. Maybe they should include a tune up and reconditioning by Joel Bernstein, just to make sure that the guitar can still support Joni's tunings on a regular basis. I wonder if there were special adjustments made by Bernstein to accomodate specific tunings. Remember, Joni used to be handed one guitar after another prior to the Parker Fly/VG-8 and the tunings all have diffferent stress effects on the instruments. I've seen some great pieces come and go on e-Bay, including Joni's silver metal flake finish Fender Rhodes (that a nagging suspicion has me wondering if she recorded "Woodstock" with) that filtered through John Guerin and sold for only $1200. or so.
