It is superb, so strong and fresh; I love the sound of it, acoustic, no? IMHO it does not compare with the guitar on TTT, which sounds electronically muted. It's also a very dark album, but the fires burn brightly; that's what I love about Joni's social commentary. In order for Joni fans in the US to easily get a copy of this CD, I bought a boxload of them from Steve and just got them this week. I'm offering them for only what I paid - $10.50 for the disc + $2 to cover packaging & shipping. David Lahm, I'll send you one with my compliments - just let me know an address. If you are going to Jonifest and would like one, let me know and I'll hold one for you, take it with me, and you can save the $2. I hope my fellow US lister (listoons?) will take advantage of this deal! E-mail me if you're interested so I can hold you a copy, or if you have any questions. Happy birthday, bud! Thanks for building a great site that works as a fan site but ALSO as a reference library. Thanks for choosing a bullet-proof email distribution system. As we say at work, "You rock!" Love, Lamadoo ps, note to the rest of the list: On my Olympus camera owners' email list, they constantly have html sent out through their plain-text server. That means that even the shortest post, if sent as html, fills 3 screens. There's a nearly constant barrage of requests to stop posting in html. They have some nut case spamming the list members individually for some reason too. Thanks to Les, things are nicer here at home. :) Jimmy Stewart said, >>>>>It's your frickin birthday Les Irvin!!!!!! (Hi Mabel, Hi Tootsie) :~) Anyway, I thank you from the bottom of my gall bladder for keeping us together for all these years, for letting us know what happened in Joni history 4000 times in one day, and for being such a kind, wonderful, and talented man! I have thought too with the racial climate as it is now in Cincinnati ...and the economic losses because of the boycott. *They* just did want to say no to Bruce like they did Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam. U2's tour passed by Cincinnati also. (these bands wanting the energy from the crowd that festival-seating gives) The downtown restaurants are hurting.....hotels.....Bruce will generate some revenue. NJC From what I've seen so far from the rehearsal concerts and the opening show at the Meadowlands, was that everyone was well behaved. No pushing or shoving. The first 300 who were in line for general admission at 4PM for a 7:30PM show were wristband and frequent checks made. They were let in at 6PM in a VIP section of the floor, closest to the stage. Show did not start until 8:15 and ended at 10:45. Talk about patience. The interaction between Bruce and these fan was heartening. Several times he told them he loved them and he meant it! No incidences here, except for the scum sucking scalpers. At an un-airconditioned Convention Hall, Bruce stopped to ask people to check on their neighbors next to them to make sure they were OK. The last thing Bruce would want would be for people to come to harm. I understand your point Jim. I had forgotten about this incident or where it took place for that matter. Hopefully everyone learned from this incident and Bruce's ministry of Rock & Roll...It's all right to have a good time. The only regret I had, I didn't get in sooner, but we Jersey girls have been spoiled enough;0) ~Rose NP: Jungleland ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Aug 2002 23:42:32 EDT From: AsharaProducLLC@aol.com Subject: Final Jonifest 2002 List of Attendees On Tuesday I need to give Full Moon final numbers for those attending JoniFest 2002. Speaking of which, I have been looking for an opportunity to say that some of you may recall that Laurent and I had some less than back-slapping political exchanges in the JMDL NJC. That said, Laurent did a major, major, very kind favor for me, he went out of his way to do it and to make sure that I did not have his address so that I could in any way repay him. I am very grateful to Laurent who also testifies to the spirit that we have in the JMDL. Thank you, Laurent! And thanks all JMDLers. You gotta know Joni is special when you look at the people who love her.
