This reminds me of a Star Trek episode with Captain Kirk sitting at a table with two men whose faces are one-half black and one-half white, divided down their nose. It's a negotiation session, looking for peace between two groups that have been at war for generations. The men are leaders of the warring groups and are adament about being so different from each other that they could never get along. A dramatically exasperated Captain Kirk finally says something like, "but you look exactly alike!!!" and one of the men says, "No, can't you see?! The left side of his face is white and the *right* side of mine is!" I don't remember how the show ends but do remember being shocked at that statement when I saw that episode the first time. Even Captain Kirk, who's really seen it all, was shocked. Maybe you should be the one doing the negotiating in the middle east. Your post gave a wonderful calming effect. Thank you! >When I read Suzan's anger, I was mainly surprised. Although polar opposites on many a subject...she is such an honest person,so real. And believes to her very core what she writes. Not a mean bone in her body..... It just comes through Susan....the hard-ass doesn't work with you. She's a gem,no doubt!! Bree PS: Only one Mack,John. Wade ,etc. (NJC) Deb and Vince, I'll try to find the legal analysis I read - it was very interesting and exhaustively cited both the Constitution and Roe v. Wade to support its conclusion. I hate to try remember the legal gist of it without reading it again, but there seems to be something inherent in the Roe v. Wade decision which prevents *any* court from overturning it. The analysis said that *maybe* a president/executive action alone could overturn it, but even then, there were, arguably, provisions in the Constitution which would preclude that. When I first read your remarks I assumed they were not directed at me, but then I started worrying about it later! I agree that "pro-life" is a loaded term. And I am pro-choice.
