NJC I saw the fabulous Diana Krall tonight!!! (or last night..it's 2:30AM) WOW! Still high, high, high. My friend Andre, bought me her video that they were selling after the show:Diana Krall Live In Paris. The final song that she does for her encore on the video is "A Case Of You" Unfortunately, she did not do it last night. My heart was not in it to yell to request that she sing it. Not too far back from the stage we were able to give her a bouquet of roses. She genuinely seemed touched and thanked me.....with a big smile and a nod. Then she invited us after the show to the Westin Hotel for some Vodka tonics......Warning!! Warning!! Writers embellishment. Too late to write anymore on this....but I would encourage everyone.. if she is in a city near you, GO, she is well worth it. (you get your moneys worth and she leaves you wanting more, more, more) (she told the audience, "I'm here to make you happy..not bittersweet." ) Indeed she did!! I've got my own copy, but somehow it views different when you know it's going out over the airwaves, to the masses. True to form for my experience with Joni's work, I like PWWAM more and more as time goes by. I noticed the fade in/fade out shot of Wally Breese after "Why Do Fools Fallin Love?" thinking Joni probably edited in the shot with her own hand. I think Wally would be pleased as Punch to know that the show was going out over KQED in San Francisco this night, where he lived and created Joni.com. I turned envy green watching Charles Valentino dance with Joni during "Comes Loves." I mean, hey, I can dance those moves and more! What does a guy have to do to get on your dance card, Joan? ;-) It's interesting to know that Joni created almost everything for PWWAM...the music mixing, the set design, the editing. She's a filmmaker, too. Maybe she'll direct a movie from footage of her next tour. It isn't very well written, but I too have always loved it for the photos. Two of my favorites: An outtake from THOSL photo sessions...Joni smiling, and holding her arms across her chest as she is kneeling in the pool. Very demure and beautiful. The other great one is a shot of her with Graham Nash, staring into each others eyes. The light is catching her face, iluminating one of her eyes, maing it look transparent. Amazing. There's a lot of other, older pictures that I've never seen anywhere else. Great find if you ever run across one! Russ (in Humboldt) >From: WARREN901@aol.com > >"hello joinitites ! Just because you don't hear about every detail of these cases whenever you turn on the news doesn't mean that they were not fully prosecuted all over the place. Some of them were only finally resolved a few years ago.
