My miracle cat had me worried last night too. On Friday, we got the dog groomed, and now the cat doesn't recognize her, and she totally freaks out and hisses and attacks the dog, and the dog was bleeding.... Then we left them alone last night and we came home and they both were scared of each other. Then, the cat throws up, and I give her her pill, and she pukes again, so I was up half the night worrying about a relapse, but thus far today she is walking around and ate a little, so I think she's ok.... damn pets stress ya out so much! So Anne, my advice would be to ask Ashara about the urinary thing, and for the fur thing, there is a great website -- I can't remember the name, but just go to google or something and do a search on "cat losing fur" or something and you should find it -- every stupid cat thing I type in usually gets me to that site, and it offers great advice. It was a time when some few singers were known as "Little Jonis" so i couldn't help myself. I loved her debut and it will always be a very special one to me. I suspect it's been around the block a few times, but it did contain some charming mondegreens and child-like misunderstandings, so in case you haven't see in before: This comes from a Catholic elementary school. Kids were asked questions about the Old and New Testaments. 1. In the first book of the bible, Guinessis, God got tired of creating the world, so he took the Sabbath off. 2. Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree. Noah's wife was called Joan of Ark. Noah built an ark, which the animals come on to in pears. 3. Lot's wife was a pillar of salt by day, but a ball of fire by night. 4. The Jews were a proud people and throughout history they had trouble with the unsympathetic Genitals. 5. Samson was a strongman who let himself be led astray by a Jezebel like Delilah. 6. Moses led the hebrews to the Red Sea, where they made unleavened bread which is bread without any ingredients. 7. The Egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the ten ammendments. 8. The seventh commandment is thou shalt not admit adultery. 9. Moses died before he ever reached Canada. Then Joshua led the hebrews in the battle of Geritol. 10. The greatest miracle in the Bible is when Joshua told his son to stand still and he obeyed him. 11. David was a hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. he fought with the Finklesteins, a race of people who lived in Biblical times. 12. Solomon, one of David's sons, had 300 wives and 700 porcupines. 13. When Mary heard that she was the mother of Jesus, she sang the MagnaCarta. 14. When the three wise guys from the east side arrived, they found Jesus in the manager. 15. Jesus was born because Mary had an immaculate contraption. 16. Jesus enunciated the Golden Rule, which says to do one to others before they do one to you. He also explained, "a man doth not live by sweat alone." 17. It was a miracle when Jesus rose from the dead and managed to get the tombstone off the entrance. 18. The people who followed the lord were called the 12 decibels. 19. The epistles were the wives of the apostles. 20. One of the oppossums was St. Matthew who was also a taximan. 21. St. Paul cavorted to Christianity. He preached holy acrimony, which is another name for marriage. 22. Christians have only one spouse. This is called monotony. The closing paragraph on the December 2001 issue of Discovery Magazine (not, as far as I know, associated with Discovery Network on American cable TV): [Diana] Deutsch [as professor of psychology at University of California at San Diego, who herself has perfect pitch and is studying it] thinks that parents should give young children access to musical instruments, preferably with labeled notes, to help the process [of developing good or perfect pitch] along. "I often wonder if I acquired my perfect pitch because I had a color-coded xylophone as a kid," she says, noting that people with perfect pitch have a higher incidence of synesthesia: When they hear a sound, they see a color. Even when they don't, she says, their gift adds an extra dimension to their listening experience, revealing the music's architecture as weel as it's sound. "It's as though you are seeing the musical score scroll past your eyes." [end of article] So you synesthesiacs (and I'm one, too) out there -- one more thing to be thankful about. hugs, and warm holiday greetings to all -- be safe, be well, be happy, love, walt ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Dec 2001 23:21:45 +0000 From: colin Subject: Queen's Message NJC Each year is always a surprise-it always brings stuff one never thought possible or even considered, new growth from new liasons or lessons. As those who have come to know me should have learned, I hold not back on what I think and am sincere, if nothing else, and these chocolates are the best I have ever had. Bree, take me, take me. Actually, I have never known if I am exclusively homosexual or not. It is definitely my major side but have found certain women attactive over the years. Back in college, I was involved with a woman. She knew I was queer but kept inviting me home. Soon, we were more or less living together. One night I was laying there beside her and wanted to do something with her. Was afraid and didn't know how and since I didn't want her to think I was stupid or inept, I did nothing. That was the only time in my life I was ever turned on, physically if you know what I mean without getting graphic, by a woman. The next week was spring break and I went home for the week or so. When I returned she told me she had been intimate with two men while I was gone. Crying, tearful, and pathetic she was. For me, that ruined it. I could not go on with her, in any way. She said, between the tears, "I only did it to make you do something." Shortly thereafter I fell in love and left her behind. Always wondered what that road would have taken me to, if I had taken it. Sorry, I feel no reticence in writing about such things with you, the members of the JMDL. > > << Usually in a box of chocolates there are quite a few clunkers. >> > > That's right!
