I never really paid that much attention to this cable channel before, but they've really stepped it up lately in terms of music. They've been airing all of the Sessions At West 54th episodes over the last month and it's been fantastic. Mitchell came second. Hi sister, Tantra's Dockyard Doris, (doris) got no where as she diecided not to behave. Strange as she always behaves at class and Mitchell doesn't.Seems Mitchell knows when it is the real thing. - -- bw colin BRO GC, 950i 940,864, 260, 890,Silver 830 and 270, Passap 6000 Duo80 colin@tantra.fsbusiness.co.uk http://www.geocities.com/tantra_apso/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 09 Jun 2001 15:15:00 -0400 From: mags Subject: a tape of you - a case of Emerelda I was listening to the Tapes of You on this glorious Ontario Saturday afternoon and wanted to ask about this fantastic tune ... Those guys are so great! Bill played my VG-8 with the Parker Concert Fly and oh my gawd my poor guitar wanted to know what the hell was going on. She had never been felt up quite that way before. He sure made her sing. Anyways I played piano and he wailed on every imaginable patch and sound that I had. I stayed 3 hours longer than I was suppose to (i know very out of character for me to OVERDO it) it was fun. They did Fever that night. Anyway, I just had to ask this, now that I have a minute: I bought the new Talking Heads bio, THIS MUST BE THE PLACE, and I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the Heads. This guy who wrote it has some bone to pick with Tina, and he's downright ignorant about anything to do with her. It really makes me angry, but to be fair, I thought I'd ask y'all if you know if Tina was/is hard to work with, and if there is any truth at all to this supposed bitterness she supposedly has? Any Heads experts on the list? (And note I said "HEADS", you bunch of smart asses -- I can already see the responses from a few of you;) Evian ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jun 2001 18:01:03 EDT From: SCJoniGuy@aol.com Subject: Re: NJC Re: great suggestion << I go to play with Kim and Bill at the Steak Knife last sunday night and it was fantastic. >> Small World! When I was around 16 or 17 I used to stay up late drinking. I would go to bed at dawn. One early morning I had my radio on and came upon the wierdest thing I had ever heard. It was mezmorizing(sp?). I thought we were being invaded. It took me awhile before I found out who the artist was. It was Laurie Anderson performing O Superman off of her Big Science album. I went out and got it right away. If you are looking for something similar to Strange Angels I would not recommend this one. I suggest you check it out sometime. I would recommend Bright Red.
