For you Cass fans, Dream a little dream > [sound recording ] : the Cass Elliot collection it great. I have all their albums on vinyl, including a couple of compilations - it's the one collection I haven't got around to getting on CD yet - but I certainly will be. And I absolutely agree, Cass' Dream A Little Dream is a great recording. I notice that since I am a guilt-filled smoker who breaks down in tears 2 hours after each quitting attempt, I seem to just hook up with people I meet who smoke -- I can feel myself get all smiley when I meet someone and find out they smoke. It's always "OMG, you smoke?? Let's go outside!" Is it because we are so guilt-filled? I actually caught myself hiding my smoke today IN MY CAR! I was driving into work, and was smoking my little brains out (I was driving the old car today, don't tell my wife I was smoking in it, ok?) and I see this woman who I don't even work with, but who works in the same building, and I suddenly roll up the window and put my smoke down, because running through my head was "She always sees me smoking." Good Lord, how pathetic is that? Anyhow, just wondering if y'all found the same thing about gravitating to smokers in a crowd. Doesn't she sleep until mid-afternoon, and stay up all night?! I'm guessing you like Emily better, since I'm > partial to Amy :>) I hadn't heard but you can be sure I'll be rushing out to get it too. And in fact I'm much more partial to Amy than Emily, so your theory has failed! Actually to be honest I far prefer Amy's voice, but most of my favourite songs are Emily's - but since they almost always both sing on each track it doesn't really matter. And I'm sure there's plenty of collaboration in their song-writing, once they get into the studio. I actually read that they try and spend as much time away from each other as they can, outside the group, since they don't want to get sick of each other, and want to make sure they keep performing for as long as possible! They have separate groups of friends and separate social lives. Sounds kind of strange to me, but as long as it keeps them together, who am I to complain! I've really bonded with these people. :~)............just kiddin, I'm a smoker and know exactly what you're saying. Why doesn't someone warn me when these things start? I bet you all had lots of fun, and talked about me behind my back. And I suppose you had vodka jellies too, and I bet Paz actually drank all the Tequila before falling on his head on the bottle. I'll just have to come to Topsfield in September after all, so I don't miss any more of the fun. So there.
