I'm going to assume that it means the same thing to Joni as it does here, in the USA, in an area south of Ontario, Canada that we call the Midwest. Since then he has released 2 albums on his own, as well as 2 albums as a member of the Nashville-based band Peace. The new album, "Bodden Town", is mainly inspired by Dan's 10 year long stay in Bodden Town, the original capital of the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. Dan does most of the work on this album by himself, but on three tracks (among them, a beautiful version of the Beatles "This Boy") he is backed by the rest of the members in Peace. Standout tracks on the album are : "Missing You (Chelsea's Song)" - Chelsea was Dan's english sheepdog and the inspiration for America's hit "Today's The Day". "Heartland" - Not the CSN&Y-song, but, as Dan says, "A nod to Neil on this tale of pathos and pain". "This Boy" - The Lennon/McCartney-song gets the Peace- treatment. Copies of this great album ( as well as the two titles by Peace ) are available from : Seven Mile Records PO Box 765 High Ridge MO 63049 U.S.A.
