Either you have great denial, are mad, or can't move!!!! You have to be in great denial to live in L.A., I prefer to be called "eccentric", and I will never move ;-D >I experienced a very minor quake when i was about 10. I have >never forgoten it. Of course you could be superwoman and I am just a wimp! No, I'm just a mutated native! But I do get a bit more edgy than I used to because we have had so many big ones on a much more frequent basis than we did when I was growing up. The Northridge earthquake in '94 was the first to absolutely scare the sh*t out of me. I slept in my clothes by my back patio door for a week afterward so that I could get out of my building quickly if another big one or aftershock hit. Last night got a little scary because it started off like a little one and then just kept going on and getting stronger. Through it all I was amused that my mutant native cat was totally nonchalant until the shaking started getting serious and he bailed on me! And, no matter what they say, I believe in earthquake weather. Whenever we have prolonged, very hot unseasonal weather, we almost always have an earthquake. O.K. gotta get back to denial now ;-) Kakki NP: Hollies - Look Through Any Window ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Oct 1999 01:54:39 -0400 From: "Eric Taylor" Subject: Re: Joni in the check-out line Dear Ange, Isn't it great how Joni's more obscure music if finally catching on! Not that I don't adore Big Yellow Taxi & Help Me. It was just SO amazing to hear Hejira playing in a suburban supermarket!!! :~) E.T. P.S. I remember the post you contributed about your supermarket/joni/emotional experience & enjoyed it thoroughly! ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V4 #465 ************************** The Song and Album Voting Booths are open!
