[mr_lovesaint@webtv.net] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 14 Sep 1999 02:12:50 -0400 (EDT) From: mr_lovesaint@webtv.net Subject: check out this soundtrack. ok...perhaps i shouldn't admit it now-a-days, but i'm a robert altman fan ( he did m.a.s.h. , the player, nashville among many other great films).i have thought : he always has the soundtrack and the music play such a large part of his films... mood, color, tone. then i saw short cuts. now i really liked this flick. after reading the book years before, i loved the way altman mixed the stories together , created a larger story. and the music had a lot to do with it all. almost all classical or jazz ... with annie ross & the low note quintet and lori singer & the trout quartet... two of the actors in the film ( jazz singer mother and classical whiz daughter in the plot ) . and the soundtrack. its filled with even more great music. just a thought, Jess ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V4 #405 ************************** The Song and Album Voting Booths are open!
