I've been lurking for a few days now and I was wondering how come there's all this grief about TTT ( it's not good enough; it's not as good as; etc.) Sure, it's a different album and I didn't have the disadvantage of hearing a preview of the album, so for me, it's a brand new thing and On first listening, I think it's wonderful. I loved her singing on 'Man from Mars', 'Lead Balloon', and 'No Apologies' and 'Face Lift' picked me up. Her voice sounds so different and somehow much warmer. Maybe it's to my benefit to not have listened to Joni for about 15 years. Now, I can appreciate her and others a whole lot more. Just listen and let TTT wrap itself around you. I'm going to listen to it the pre-requisite 6 times and then I'm going to listen to it some more but I do think you need to take a break from it just to appreciate it even more. Anything can become stale if you continually saturate yourself with it. What's wrong with Bob Dylan anyway? Maybe he's not as good as he used to be - live, at any rate but I just love 'Blood On The Tracks'. 'Nuff said NP: Late for the Sky ----- J.
