I have had the distinct pleasure of babysitting a grandbaby of a friend.... close your eyes and picture him, blonde hair blue eyes, nine months old and two beautiful teeth, he is truly a living doll. Throughout the day we have played and giggled and eaten and napped together, he drools and I wipe. Tell me does it get better than that???? Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde this little sweet smelling thing is though. Come time for bed he SCREAMED! And I do mean screamed! He didn't want his bottle his business end was clean and the toys grammom swears he loves to sleep with, well, they just weren't happening.... We passed him from one set of warm arms to the next but, nope, no sleep. Lets see, put the dogs out, turn off the TV and dance, of course dance, what baby doesn't love to dance! Joe Henry couldn't do it, got him quiet but didn't close those georgeous blue eyes, Kenny Loggins seemed to make him a little dreamy but didn't get him over the edge to sleep..... You'll never guess who did it, ok, maybe you will, of course you will. We have a brand new Joni fan! Yep! Not even 1/2 way through Night Ride Home he closed his eyes as we danced across the living room, round and round we went, back and forth...... In the middle of Cherokee Louise I heard a little tiny snore, my little boy was out!!!!!!! By the time Slouching Towards Bethlehem was going good he was in the bed and safely out for the night. Time for me to go to bed now but thanks Joni, you'll definately go in first tomorrow night and the only reason you didn't tonight was because by the time the dancing started there wasn't enough light left to press the right button on the remote, had to take what I could get. What am I doing first thing this morning???????? You got it, Joni goes in the starting gate, she'll be ready for that blonde haired night time terror.
