This is no longer held to be true. Nor in dogs. A six month old cta is
== a 10 yr old, 1yr ole=late teens 2yrs old =24yrold. A 10 yr old is
indeed about 70 but it doesn't wotrk out to be 1=7yrs. I used to beieve
the same.
Another falcy is that all red(ginger) cats are boys. Not true. Red
females are abundant. You need to have a red father AND a red mother, in
which case all kittens of both sexes will be red OR a red dad and a
tortoiseshell mother in wchich case all females will be either red or
toroiseshell and all boys either red or black.

Exactly!
Name: Willie, aka Willie Dog, WD, Willie Poochie Doggie, Willster, William
Dog, Black Dog, Wills, Willie Boy (btw I named him after this kids book I had
called "Whistle for Willie". odd thing is...I still can't whistle!)
Breed: Black Lab, runt of his litter but the only one without epilepsy.
Age: 12, old boy but the best of any dog
Marital Status: Well, he's escaped a few times and we have Trixie (T-Girl) the
little black puppy running around with him too. But she's fixed. Oh well you
never know, But good for them says I if there is anything going on!
Favorite food: Whatever I'm eating
Favorite song: Willie listens to my music most of the day. He's into the Foo
Fighters (I see him headbanging) so most likely "Monkey Wrench" or
"Watershed".
Favorite activity: Sneaking into the kitchen

Yah, I hear crackles on my HDCD version of This Flight Tonight at the
spots mentioned too. It sounds like a snare drum rattling with
bleedthrough. Are there any recording engineers in the house?
Much more objectionable to me is the _second time_ she sings
"!!YOU!! got the power that I like, alright." It sounds like the
microphone was overloaded. I guess they figured it was "good enough"
for folk music. :(
As someone mentioned, (simon?) once you open your new HDCD version of
Blue, there's no printed reminder of the fact. Not on the cover art and
not on the CD itself. My fix was to cut out the sticker from the
shrink-wrap and put it inside the back cover. (Once you know how, it's
easy to do.)
About "This Flight Tonight", Howard said:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I checked my Blue CD and vinyl copy. Both have exactly the same crackles
at these points:
"sometimes I think love is just mythical"
^^^^^^^^^^^
and, in the chorus just afterwards :
"starbright, starbright you got the lovin' that I like ..."
^^^^^^^^^

Subject: Cat Music (NJC)
We've discovered that our cat, Tuica, is partial to themes from science
fiction TV shows.
Steve and I got in the habit of singing along to the theme of The X-Files.
Well, Tuica would start
singing along, and then jump on an available lap and start making tortillas
(if you know what I mean).
Tonight, the SciFi Channel starting running digitally remastered episodes
of the original Star Trek
series. Before I knew it, I was singing along with the theme - Doo Doo doo
doo doo doo doo, and so on...
Well, Tuica really liked this one! As a test I tried singing "Leave It To
Beaver," "The Munsters" and
"I Love Lucy." No response. Tuica wants her sci fi music. My band has
been practicing, "Comes Love"
which is another Tuica favorite (even though it's not from a sci fi TV
series).
Steve looked at me and said, "Honey, do you realize that you're singing
Star Trek to the cat?"
We both started laughing uncontrollably - which the cat didn't like.
Unfortunately, since I recently had a head injury resulting in whiplash, it
really hurt to laugh.
