Wow - it has already been a year (3/13/04) since I saw Mary Lou at Spaceland.  Time goes too damned fast.

I may be a latecomer to this one, but I have really been enjoying THE LATE GREAT DANIEL JOHNSTON, a double CD of (1) cover tunes, and (2) the original tunes.  I feel a special kinship with Daniel, as his manager Jeff Tartakof used to send me his original boom box tapes in the late 80's.  What's cool is that most of these covers are from those early tapes, not the newer stuff.  There are some great songs there, some of them really heart-rending.
