MZ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Oct 2004 21:06:29 -0400 From: "Jill Falzoi" Subject: [MLL] covers (forgot these) There's also some Carole King songs that would be lovely, and I can't remember the names so how helpful is that, and that Linda Ronstant song about the guy who she's moving on from, the lyric repeats "I'm gonna say it again -- you're no good" (since so many of the songs MLL sings are about this kind of guy, but they are mournful rather than get the hell out of my life you suck kind of songs) and then there is that beautiful Janis Joplin, well, ok I can't remember the name of that one either, it's not the 17 song, but one with the memorable line that I also can't remember. Well, hope that helps... Any Janis Joplin. Oh, wait -- it's "Me and Bobby McGee"! (I think?) Yes, that one. And some of the songs Eva Cassidy covered -- "Fields of Gold" and "A Penny to my Name" stand out for me. Everyone else knows much more about music, I shouldn't really send this but I will anyway. Sorry.
