I just bought my daughter the Scooby Doo: Monsters Unleashed DVD, for which I'd cut sound effects.

One of the first sound gags I'd cut was when Shaggy takes a hit off a can of whipped cream to get a little "nitrous" buzz.  I was absolutely certain that this scene wouldn't survive to the final cut, but it did (Raja, the director, called my sounds for that shot "genius!")  Anyone who ever copped a cheap buzz off a can of miracle-whip knew what was going on.

Sure enough, I put on the DVD and now that scene is GONE.  I guess the studio finally caught on to what the gag meant (not even my ex-stoner supervisor got it at first) and went in with the scissors.
