I really like the cartoon drawing of mary lou on the cover. The track listing is really strange though. I little of everything from each album, except Baby Blue. what's "strange" if at all is that its the promo release they are selling. the album is a compilation for the japanese market and i don't think it includes anything from "GNS", rather the original EP versions, which would make it a compilation of the kill rock stars years. nice artwork indeed. carsten - -- http://carstenwohlfeld.de "her name is eve and she lives two floors below, she is 22 and looks like linda ronstadt" ~ the birdy num nums ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Jun 2004 11:07:25 GMT From: Subject: [MLL] Set list from Lansing, Michigan Mac's Bar Thursday, 3 June 2004 Lansing, Michigan Western Union Desperate The Wind Blew All Around Me Ron He'd Be A Diamond (request) Stars Burn Out By The Time My Head Gets To Phoenix Jingle Jangle Morning Blimps Go 90 43 1952 Vincent Black Lightning Straight To Hell I Don't Want To Get Over You You Won't Find Me - ----------- I've never seen so many tattoos in my life!! Mary Lou was beat from the long drive from New York, and while three-fourths of the people (80 total maybe) in the joint were there to listen, a good (bad?) many were overly loud with their chatter. Mary Lou had to politely ask them to keep it down ("Shut the f*ck up!") several times, which for the most part they did. Still... too many people there who must have an internal mechanism that causes them to talk overly loudly when music is playing -- regardless of decibel level. Mac's is mostly a bar band bar. More smoke than this non-smoking, virtual non-drinker cares to sit through, but Ms. Mary Lou doesn't visit Michigan all too often. Stephen Brodsky (Cave In) was second on the bil (prior to Mary Lou and after a local band, Shipwrecked, who were decent) and I thought that he was pretty good. Good sense of melody. Sometimes reminded me of a more rough-edged David Mead. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
