I am asking the moderator to consider asking Amy Emerman to stop. I think it's amazingly rude to treat another artist's mailing list like your own. Just my opinion. Honestly, it just makes you look bad. Also, we don't mostly live in NY, do we? No, I didn't get your last email (must have gotten thrown in with the junk email and deleted). I think people on the Mary Lou list would have really liked the Living Room show I put on recently with Suzanne Vega and other people from the legendary Songwriter's Exchange which nurtured artists like Shawn Colvin and others who used to go to it (Shawn may not have ever written a song if she hadn't been urged by Jack Hardy at the Songwriter's Exchange to begin writing..."I Don't Know Why" was the first song she brought to the group). Quite frankly, most of the shows I put on feature artists like Mary Lou with some similar musical styles and fresh approaches to acoustic singer/songwriter music, so I had thought my emails were pretty on-topic and beneficial/of interest to people on the list. But if anyone has a problem with my emails, I'd be happy to not email the list anymore...it will be their loss, but that's fine by me. (I haven't had much time to read the list recently, so I hadn't seen any objections to my local showcase alerts)...any New Yorkers or those in the area who wish to be kept abreast of the singer/songwriter showcases I put on, please go to by cdbaby.com website below and email me and ask to be put on my mailing list.
