Way back in 1995, those of us in the aol Mary Lou Lord folder (the precurser to this mailing list) heard about a teenage girl dying of cancer. Her last wish was to meet Alanis Morisette. Unfortunately, she could not have picked a hotter celebrity, since at that time Jagged Little Pill was breaking records right & left (and she had already used her Make A Wish on getting a computer.) With all of us working together, we actually came damn close to making her dream reality. One of Mary Lou's industry contacts actually got a fax on the desk of Alanis' manager, but Alanis was just too famous and the lights on her were too bright to notice this poor little dying teenager who loved her. BUT, as a group we were able to bring this girl some comfort in her last days by sending her CDs, stuffed animals, emails, and the like. I mention all this because I just came across the very sad story of Eccoblue. Her website is below. Basically, she could survive with a heart & liver transplant but her insurance won't cover it. She needs a LOT of money. I know everyone is broke - especially me! - but helping those in need always comes back in good karmic ways. Even if you can only forward this email to those on your mailing address, it might help in some small way. Thanks for your time.
