"mind the gap", early mix of"gns"version 3. "gns" promo disc, rough mix, different to both "mind the gap" and the finished "gns" 4. finished "gns". carsten - -- http://carstenwohlfeld.de "and i hope i die in the nightime, with my tv on and a beer in my hand and you by my side" (john p. strohm) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 May 2002 12:18:00 -0400 From: Recordings@aol.com Subject: [MLL] jinglejanglecompression >The "Mind the Gap" version was, from what I remember, the "Got No Shadow" version.< Well, technically it isn't. Same studio performance, but the MIND THE GAP version is packed with compression (which kinda sounds like your speakers sucking in & out.) As I recall, Mary Lou wasn't happy with the orignial drum sound, so they tried 5 or 6 remixes, and one of them wound up on GNS. On the GOT NO SHADOW version the compression was minimized considerably. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 May 2002 14:06:33 -0400 From: "Neil" Subject: RE: [MLL] Some Jingle Jangle Mystery >to the best of my knowledge, there are >four different studio versions in circulation: > >1. the krs 7", where the recent mp3 was from >2. I think I'm right in saying there's another studio version on an old promo cassette, only it's got a different title, something like "About A Boy". While I'm here, if anyone can furnish me a CDR of the aforementioned "gns" promo disc, rough mix, I'll try and return the favor somehow.
