why is it good? I've been looking in the 2 dollar bin, but its never there,

That was my reaction too, but believe me, she really captures and fleshes out DAPHNE's character; since there isn't really much to work with, Gellar took on everybodys' projections of what Daphne really is (a clueless fox? a bitch? a perpetual victim?) and forced the character to sort them out.

No, the only real casting mistake was Freddie Prinze Jr.
Had they gotten "Fred" right, the versimillitude of this movie would have been SCARY... but we ARE talking about Scooby Doo here.
