She is playing a show at the Twelve Bar Club in London on Dec. 20th...unfortunately i won't be here to see her play as ill be back in the states by then. But in the meantime i will snoop around and see what i can find out! In response to the comment about checking out The White Stripes, i think it is imperative for everyone to do so! Jack and Meg White (brother and sister) are the biggest thing on the "indie" circuit in the US at the moment and are played fairly regularly on the radio here in the UK, even managing to get large displays at Virgin Megastores (which would never occur elsewhere!). If you haven't heard their stuff, i suggest you go get the album or download songs ASAP! Can't wait to be back in Boston for no other reason than going to see gigs there again...i can't believe i am missing the daniel johnston show, especially now that rachael is playing as well!! *matt* ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Nov 2001 06:25:04 -0500 From: patrick t power Subject: [MLL] Hey Guys Mary Lou wrote: Hi everyone...Just letting you guys know that I'll be at TT The Bear's tomorrow (Friday) night with Daniel Johnston (the guy who wrote Speedy Motorcycle and many other musical masterpieces)...TT the bear's club is in Central square in Cambridge...My friend Rachael Davis will be there as a special guest on a few songs as well. You DO NOT want to miss seeing Daniel Johnston...It's a very rare treat to see him live, as he does not tour often, if at all...>> In the "isn't it a small world?" category . . . She writes some of the most heart-gripping songs I've ever heard and when she sings, she pours every ounce of herself into it.
