[Recordings@aol.com] [MLL] NY thoughts ["Rachel Kramer Bussel" ] [MLL] Working Assets to Match Donations [Rachel Bussel Subject: [MLL] NY thoughts I wrote this yesterday but it bounced for some reason so I'm sending it again... -- rachel I just wanted to say hello to everyone on the list. It's so weird, I barely remember that today is Thursday, Sept. 13, the day Mary Lou was going to play CMJ. That seems like so long ago. It's just so awful, I'd like to ask that we please not argue with each other, it's hard enough to deal with this. My midtown office building was evacuated briefly (we're not sure why, but all is ok now in the building). The city feels so precarious, more buildings are unstable and we're all just in shock. There's a flyer up outside my office with someone looking for their missing family member. I don't really know what else to say. Bush is coming to NY tomorrow and my first thought was to be scared about that. But we cannot live in complete fear for that is not really living. New York and the rest of the world and country have to go on. I don't want to say I hope you are all safe and your loved ones are, though I do, because it's little comfort when so many thousands are dead. I don't really know what else to say, just wanted to share some thoughtfulness with this most caring and kindhearted of lists.
