I thought I'd let you all know that Rachael Davis will be moving to Boston very soon. Tomorrow she will be performing as part of a farewell party/concert in her hometown of Cadillac, and she'll be making the move the second week of September. Her first gig in the state of Massachusetts has been booked for October 20 -- in Clinton, as part of the Lancaster Coffeehouse series. Rachael will be opening for Eddie From Ohio, who, if you don't know about them, are a really terrific band from Virginia. You will no doubt get plenty of chances to see Rachael busking 'round Boston in the meantime -- especially if Mary Lou has anything to do with it -- but I expect that she'll also be hitting her share of open mics at the various clubs, as well as getting other opening act gigs.
