I'm still very new to Mary Lou and her music......I literally stumbled upon her playing outside the Harvard Coop earlier this summer. I was walking to my car after a great Beth Amsel show at Passim, and I didn't get very far. I stood on the sidewalk listening to Mary Lou for probably an hour or more and was hooked. She just totally capped off an already great evening. Since then, I've seen her at Newport Folk Festival (with one of my other favorites, Kate McDonnell), and I plan to catch her as often as I can in the future. What else can I offer by way of an introduction? I'm a basic music junkie, all kinds, but primarily classical (I'm an oboist) and folk/folk-pop. My favorites include The Nields, Dar Williams, The Kennedys, EFO, Kevin So, Nanci Griffith, Lucy Kaplansky....way too many to name! Thanks for letting me say hi! Peace, Sheila ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2001 01:13:06 EDT From: AWeiss4338@aol.com Subject: Re: [MLL] intro In a message dated 8/19/01 11:53:55 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Fantine729@aol.com writes: > What else can I offer by way of an introduction? Glad you made it here. I hope to see Mary Lou busking someday, you are lucky. ------------------------------ End of jinglejangle-digest V4 #99 *********************************
