I'm in Austin for SXSW and I have been looking for Mary Lou, but to no avail. Does anybody have any inside info about where she might be busking? I haven't seen her on 6th (or 5th or 7th for that matter). Hmmmmmmmmmm. I really really want the new record. I don't really know what the first two songs were, the titles I have Mary Lou was writing down for someone after the show, and I didn't remember them very well. The show was quite good, much better than the Kendall Cafe show a couple weeks ago. She did seem very happy and was smiling a lot & kind of fooling around a bit. She wore a hat during the show (the same style as on the front of the "Mary Lou Lord" CD), and when her typical request for the lights to be turned down was unable to be fulfilled, she wore sunglasses from a guy in the audience. She wore them for a few songs, and then wore them again at the end. During "I Don't Want To Get Over You" she switched into a Bob Dylan imitation briefly, I think for the "chorus" part. The live CD has nothing unusual on it, it is pretty much includes all her best stuff from what she has been playing the last year or so. I can't remember how many songs, maybe 13-18. It includes Thunder Road, My Own Worst Enemy, I Don't Want To Get Over You, and Ontario Quebec and Me to name a few (unless I have misremembered). Now that I think about it, I wish it had "See How We Are" on it, though I don't recall seeing it on there or not.
