No WONDER Real never got rereleased!! So nice to hear from Mary Lou, even for such a sad story... but great news on the CD. Maybe Kevin can do mail order in-between diapers. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 08 Mar 2001 15:52:53 EST From: Pepcrick@aol.com Subject: Re: [MLL] re: ML's post Just a quick addendum to what Mary Lou wrote... if you are a struggling musician looking for a lawyer to look over contracts, there are plenty of sources for pro bono legal help. I know for a fact that Harvard Law School has a student-staffed legal clinic for this sort of thing (though last I heard, it was aimed at hip hop artists) and I'm assuming that other law schools have as well, particularly if they offer a lot of intellectual property classes. Legal aid clinics are also a good source of info, and they exist in pretty much every good-sized city. And of course, it's always a good idea to ask other local musicians for referrals. A lot of young lawyers will do a contract review for a percentage of your earnings or even for free, in the hopes that you become a big, rich star who has the need for a full-time attorney. Some will even just do it because they're fans. Suzanne http://www.the-buzz.com ------------------------------ End of jinglejangle-digest V4 #35 *********************************
