I got there right before the first guy, Matt Nathanson, went on. He was pretty funny, told lots of stories and had some decent songs, and he played "Thunder Road" and apologized to Mary Lou for stealing it. I didn't write the setlist down, but this is as best as I can recall, not in order: Western Union Desparate Birthday Boy (dedicated to Jim, who was turning 21 "in 4 hours") She's Still Bewitching Me Aim Low Lights Are Changing Vincent Black Lightning 1952 - dedicated to all the hippies, ex-hippies and Baby Boomers in the room something that had the line "my own worst enemy" a bunch of times - does anyone know this song? New Thing Now Beeswing (I'm sure I'm probably missing something) The show was good except for these really LOUD people at the bar, who at some points I could hear better than Mary Lou. She also had t-shirts for sale (the white one with the self-titled photo in a heart and the black Martian Saints). Also, I talked to Dave from Rubric Records and apparently the compilation with Mary Lou's version of "From Galway to Graceland" will be officially in stores on November 6th, but can be ordered now for $14 from Rubric: Rubric Records 12 West 37th Street, 5th floor New York, NY 10012 http://www.rubricrecords.com It's called Rubric01 and should be in most record stores and online places on November 6. The website also lists the Raging Teens CD as being released on January 23rd. So all in all it was a good, if too short show. Mary Lou has cut her hair, or her fall, a little bit, and seemed happy. I'm going to the show tonight and hopefully she'll play "Thunder Road." :) Rachel __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo!
