Subject: [MLL] ALMOST FAMOUS is Almost Here

Just got back from the cast & crew screening of ALMOST FAMOUS in Westwood.  
Director/writer Cameron Crowe and some of the actors (including the kid who 
plays HIM as a kid) were there, and I must report that it's an even better 
movie than I expected - there were a lot of trims made since I saw it last, 
and they all improved the pacing and the impact of the movie (though I wish 
they hadn't cut a line from "Lester Bangs" about how, if Lou Reed is doing 
Bowie, and Bowie is doing Lou, then Lou Reed is still Lou!)...

Yes, I worked on it, and I've been advising you MLL fans to see it for the 
Lester Bangs connection, but beyond all that, it was an amazing fucking 
film... if any of you remember SAY ANYTHING, it is like that movie told 
against the backdrop of a 70's rock band.  All the actors are awesome, it's 
funny, heartbreaking, all that good stuff... see it and judge for yourself.  
My big contributions were the door slams & buzzer at the rock stadium, and 
the malfunctioning, squeaky tape recorder...
