The cafe is a nice place, small, good food and drink, reasonable prices. So we see two opening acts, local people who I've never heard of, a guy named I think Ambrose something. and Untrained Desire. Ambrose was good, Untrained Desire was a duet, and good, but the real surprise was two 17 year old girls who sounded better then everyone else, including the sound man, who did a few songs himself, all while we were waiting for Mary Lou. As for Mary Lou, well she went to the wrong town down in South Jersey. Apparently there is a Red Bank in South Jersey, never knew that. In other words, she was a no show. The guy who put the show together announced this, then said that the show would be rescheduled for a couple of weeks from now, and that she had never had this happen to her before. She was very apologetic. I met the guy who was put this together, told him about the list, as he wanted to know where we found out about the show. So he has promised to e-mail me the make up date and I'll post it when I get it. I was going to send him this review if Mary Lou if she had played, but won't send this one. Was anyone from the list at this show? My friend had never heard Mary Lou, I played her a bit of Got No Shadow and she liked it. I'm a little dissapointed myself, especially since it's my birthday today and this was suppose to be what I did on it. I've had worse B-days, this was good never the less. Oh well, these things happen, Mary Lou was coming all the way from Boston, I sure feel sorry that now she has to drive all the way back up there.
