Are they not at the same venue on the 26th? i seem to recall that not only krs, but also david meinert said she'd be in olympia on the 26th, so i guess it's save to say that she'll be at the capitol theater that night. rock on! carsten - -- http://carstenwohlfeld.de "love is not a victory march" (leonard cohen) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Feb 2000 10:48:03 +0100 From: "Carsten Wohlfeld" Subject: Re: [MLL] Message from DINO i'll always remember dino for writing on 20 Feb 00, at 4:20: > Otherwise, it was interesting that Mary Lou seems to have accepted that > she'll never be a "prolific" songwriter, that doing covers is more or less > her destiny - and there's nothing wrong with that. Ask Sinatra. Oh, wait, > he's dead. yeah, but despite the fact that sinatra is dead, he's still pretty cool, too. doing covers is great as long as you chose the right tunes and mary lou definitely does. and so does chan marshall, whose upcoming covers album is staggeringly good. carsten - -- http://carstenwohlfeld.de "people are crazy and times are strange / i'm locked in tight, i'm outta range / i used to care but... things have changed" (bob dylan) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Feb 2000 18:56:51 +0000 From: van duong Subject: [MLL] MLL in Baltimore I just saw Mary Lou in Baltimore last night at the Vault and and I have to say it was pretty awesome. The last time I saw her was two years ago and she toured with a full band so it was kinda different to hear her perform solo on the stage. I kinda like the toned down solo performance better since you could hear her voice clearly instead of having it drowned out by the other instruments. She played all the songs on her new split ep as well as older songs like Camden Town Rain and she even played "Polaroids" during her encore after I requested it for the tenth time that night(she was a little nervous that she wouldn't remember how to play it). She seemed surprised that I remembered the song so I guess she doesn't normally play it all that much in Boston. The first opening band, Stargazer Lily was was incredible as well so if you get the chance to see them, take advantage of it. ~Van~ ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
