Of course, May Lou said she didn't mind talking because here family used to talk when she played for them so it made her feel at home, but at the show at Iota a year and a half ago the crowd was so annoying it really spoiled most of my enjoyment. Setlist is below, does anyone know the songs I didn't? (snippets of lyrics in place of song title) I'm Talking To You (Jimmy Bruno) She Had You Hard Road (Lucinda Williams) Western Union Desperate ?you don't need my xmas card/push our beds together 1952 Vincent Black Lightning (Richard Thompson) His ND World That Kind Of Girl (Matt Keating) Aim Low ?i'll be around/if you need a place to stay Thunder Road (Bruce Springsteen) Hey Antoinette (Courtney Love) He'd Be A Diamond (Bevis Frond) I Figured You Out (Elliot Smith) ?red red scarf Lights Are Changing (Bevis Frond) Down Along The Lea Camden Town Rain His Lamest Flame Some Jingle Jangle Morning Not Half Right (Elliot Smith) Eternal Circle (Dylan) Two Boats By The Time It Gets Dark (Sandy Denny) Rob Why don't you come up and surf me sometime? --> http://www.patriot.net/users/rob ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Dec 1999 21:01:09 -0800 (PST) From: Stefan Bloom Subject: Re: [MLL] show at Iota, 12/12/99 Well, I know two of these mystery songs: > ?you don't need my xmas card/push our beds together is Billy Bragg's "Ontario, Quebec, and Me," which appears on the "Pace of Change" promo-EP thing. Meanwhile, > ?i'll be around/if you need a place to stay is Ween's "Birthday Boy." I don't know what the one about the red red scarf is. -Stefan Mary Lou Lord Chord Archive (very much under construction; check back, oh, once a week or so for updates): http://members.xoom.com/rocket00000/mllca.html __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
