Just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself. My name's Junior, and I just signed up with the list. I'm from Canada, birthplace of ice, snow and Neil Young. (Actually, I live on the West Coast, where it rarely snows.) Basically I "discovered" MLL last summer. A friend happened to buy a Pearl Jam bootleg at a garage sale that had the KRS Mary Lou Lord album recorded on the other side (interesting combo!) I copied the tape from him, and I've been transfixed ever since. I've scoured record stores looking for more stuff to no avail til a couple of weeks ago when I found, and immediately gobbled up, Martian Saints! and Got No Shadow. (I'm listening to Sunspot Stopwatch right now. Mmmmmmmm! Something about her silky voice alone with that acoustic guitar makes me fall in love every time I hear it) Anyway, I thought I'd join the list to find out a bit more about her, and perhaps how I might coax her to come perform in beautiful Victoria, Canada.
