The Ryder vehicle was "crowbar'd open, nothing left inside at all," Ranaldo wrote. He did not say when the truck was discovered or by whom. News of the theft — from a Ramada Inn in Orange, Calif. — prompted an outpouring of support for Sonic Youth on the Internet, as fans spread word of the incident and relayed lists of the stolen gear. Most of the instruments were customized in unusual ways for specific Sonic Youth songs and are considered irreplaceable. Orange police could not be reached by press time. - ----------------------------------------------- Get your free email at http://www.alloymail.com ------------------------------ End of jinglejangle-digest V2 #100 **********************************
