So, who was at the El Mocambo in Toronto last night? If you were, please reply- I wanna know what you thought of the show. I had an amazing time. Can I just say that Mary Lou Lord is the SWEETEST, coolest person alive? she totally made yesterday the best day of my life (so far). Yes. It was awesome. I came in from Kingston for the show, which isn't too bad- a three hour drive. I'll skip school for Mary Lou any day. Mary Lou took to the stage after three pretty good opening acts... she was kinda stressed out after being on the road for 11 hours straight and getting some rude treatment by the bouncers at the Elmo who wouldn't give her a case of freakin pepsi. But she sounded soo good, as always, and played tons of requests because she lost her set list. Oh man it was so good. I took a lot of pictures, as did many other people in the audience... if anyone on this list took pictures, email me, and maybe we can trade. This part is like a dream, still... I mean really bizarre, and way too good to be true. Mary Lou called me up to the stage to play I Figured You Out. I sort of knew she was going to because she'd mentioned it to me beforehand but it was the first time I've ever been up in front of a crowd, so it was pretty weird. I played her guitar with the shadow of a tiger sticker and sang, and she did backup vocals at the mic next to me. It was my first time ever playing live and I definitely won't forget it cause it was SO COOL. I don't know, I may have sounded really bad, I couldn't tell. ... I'm not going into details because I don't know if anyone really gives a shit but if you were there last night do write... everyone was so cute at the show. It wasn't too crowded, luckily.. This is the very abridged version, but I'm getting lazy- It was a great night. I didn't think I could love Mary Lou much more but sometimes I surprise myself. Write, Torontonians... did you have fun?
