Subject: [MLL] hello everyone.

this is my first time posting to the list...so hi everyone! 

we went to see mary lou at lewis and clark in portland on friday. she played 
in the school chapel (which looked like a ufo!) and there was only a small 
handful of people there to see her. the show was horribly advertised, but i 
was still hoping more people would find out about it.

mary lou looked and sounded great! she was only able to play about six songs 
because she was suffering from an anxiety attack. there was only one request 
(mine!) and she played it right away.

after the show i gave her a gift for annabelle and she asked if we could hang 
out with her for awhile. so we went out in the rain and had a nice 
conversation. she was apologetic about the short set, but i didn't see the 
need for an apology...i mean, she can do in six songs what some artists can't 
do all night long.

anyway, she said she'd be back in the summer. can't wait!
