Date: Mon, 14 Dec 1998 07:22:45 -0500 All the other lists to which I s*bscribe are all kicking around these questions, I guess it is kind of odd no one brought it up until now. Of the MLL songs that she's played - while I really adored "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" - of her own songs, it's almost certainly "Supergun." I think the initial guitar riff with the building drum beat in the introduction is what does it for me. My favorite MLL song, above all the other great ones :), would probably be either "Jingle Jangle Morning" or "Two Boats". Jingle because I love the lyrics, really personal and heartfelt, and Boats because that opening acoustic guitar riff makes me smile in delight every time I hear it ;-). == Mike Fell "Our ideas of perfect are so imperfect"-Sam Phillips _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? I'll always like "Polaroids" because it was the second song I ever heard from her years ago and it was what drew me to buy her KRS albums to find out who she was. ~Van Duong~ "It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing!" ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Dec 1998 10:22:50 PST From: "Hanson Ho" Subject: Re: [MLL] Favorite MLL songs? Well, "No one's gonna make me change..." is one of my favs. So is "...and too fucked up to care...". I also love her cover of "thinner than oxygen, and tough as a whore". Ah... Mary Lou... I think we should all have a guessing game... (1) What will be the "birthdate" of their child... (2) Will the child be born in the AM or the PM? (3) The weight of the child... (4) Whether he/she responds more to Folk or Rockabilly music... If I remember right, Kevin subscribes to this list and maybe he can supplies us with the details... Good luck to the two of them... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Dec 1998 10:37:33 PST From: "Hanson Ho" Subject: [MLL] Pace of Change I don't fancy my chances of getting a copy, so I'll enter this desperate plea: Does ANYone have .ra's .wav's or .mp3's of the songs from Pace of Change? Actually rare mary lou songs in general would brighten up my exam filled week. (If we restricted this to MLL-authored songs that would cut our options by about two-thirds.)
