This is an ensemble on Kill Rock Stars led by Madigan Shive, who has done some stuff with MLL before. It's pretty out-there -- riot-grrl punk played on chamber instruments. Some of you may like it! Also, reviews of Amy Rigby and Shotgun Wedding (including some members of The Moon Seven Times, whom I loved). - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael J. I'm sure they're really great and everything but geez that's a lot for that little amp! Anyone know if they have these amps for cheaper around them? my music store doesn't sell them...thanks~Britta ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Nov 1998 16:54:35 -0500 From: Glenn French Subject: Re: [MLL] Maxi Mouse amps Maxi Mouse amps cost around $350 new in Boston - But they are not "great" - they're only nine watts, the batteries wear out easily, the speakers blow out in normal use and they have a chunky, midrange-peak sound. They would be a good deal for $100. I've wanted to say that for a while. GRF ------------------------------ End of jinglejangle-digest V1 #227 **********************************
