I bought Martians Saints before GNS came out, and I loved it. However, I got on the list after I bought GNS: when I got access to the internet. Hmm... hard to tell, eh? I liked it, and thought she had a pretty voice, but at the time I was into slightly more viscerally angry stuff (e.g., Sugar's 'Beaster') and put it on my "get around to eventually" list. I ran into the list-owner of the Juliana Hatfield list this past year at SXSW in Austin TX and he told me he was off to go see MLL in front of the Driskill. Since he cared enough about it to drag a video camera, I decided to join him. I didn't stick around very long; I wish I had. I did buy 'Got No Shadow' and 'Martian Saints', which she was kind enough to sign, and I have pretty much followed her music since. I look forward to the next tour, whenever it is... I had to choose between seeing the Loud Family and MLL on her past tour, a choice I really disliked having to make. I ended up going to see the Loud Family; next time it'll probably be MLL...
