Just fuc*ing great, NBC Europe is no more. For some reason they quit and we have National Geography instead. I believe the German speaking central Europe might still see NBC, but that doesn't include us in Scandinavia. On a slighly better note, my fave record store got my latest orders in half a week, among them was both Mary Lou's cds she did for Kill Rock Stars. To my dissapointment the self-titled is one of those broken versions with only the first electric song and nothing else. So tomorrow I'll merrily stroll back to the store and see what can be done. I was thinking if maybe the label will let me keep this "broken" version cos it's kind of a curiosity of some sorts. What happened with the rest of you who had this problem ? (I'm sorry to heat this up again, I didn't pay attention when it was a current topic...) _______________________________________________ http://www.uta.fi/~sn60524/hypermedia/butthead/ sami.niinimaki@uta.fi sn60524@uta.fi ------------------------------ Date: 14 Jul 1998 15:56:46 -0500 From: Paul Kuehl Subject: [MLL] Ani Difranco Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me if they know of an Ani Difranco list like this and how I join it? Since I seem to be delurking, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Drew, and I've first became aware of Mary Lou by accident when I saw her busking at Bumbershoot last year. We are coming up on the one year aniversary of that event, and I hear that she's going to be back there this year. This will be the third year that I fly up to Seattle for Bumbershoot (from the SF bay area) and would very much like to catch her busking again this year. Does anyone know when and where one might be able to catch Ms. Lord in one of her smaller, more intimate, outdoor performances at Bumbershoot this year? I'd really prefer to see her on the street as compared to the opera house, which I'm sure will be a zoo, as most of Bumbershoot is.
