(and a doubt I ever will) However, when I found out the track listings, I said to myself,"What a piece of crap!" Personally, the only song there that I would want is the one with Sarah, Jewel, and the Indigo Girls singing together (I forgot what it was called), but I certainly won't pay for that whole pile of crap (with a few exceptions) just to get one song. MLL will be on the June 7th program on HBO2. She will also be on a Friday in June on HBO. I will let you know the exact date when I find out. So there you have it...I'll post when I get further info. - -- Rachel ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 May 1998 02:32:45 EDT From: Recordings Subject: [MLL] MLL SXSW Finally, something new I can talk about! Purely by chance, a friend of mine stumbled across a new live recording of Mary Lou's "I'm Talking To You" on the double-CD set "SXSW Volume 5." This set also features 33 other acts including Lisa Loeb, Robyn Hitchcock, Kathy McCarty, and many many many others. Mary Lou's track is live but it sounds pretty much like the acoustic EP for GOT NO SHADOW. I hesitate mentioning this, since I found it in the used CD section at Aron's Records in L.A. and there's NO address or other info on the CD itself... so I don't know how anyone else might find one. However, for anyone trading for my MLL compilation "The Albums," I'll be dubbing this song onto the end of the tape. FYI, it's a good performance, a bit "jazzier" than the one we're used to. Also got the new Playboy with the SHADOW review. I'm so proud of MLL making it in as the "lead" review, but that portrait is TERRIFYING. What were they thinking?!! ------------------------------ End of jinglejangle-digest V1 #91 *********************************
