It's a fifteen track compilation of his songs, including "Cinderella Backstreets" and a harrowing cover of Richard Thompson's "Calvary Cross." Given that I am a big Thompson fan, and wanted to hear the original of "Backstreets," I picked it up. It's pretty impressive - and pretty sad. He died very young, around 27 or so, from drugs and alcohol. Before that, he was part of the bands which became Pere Ubu and the Dead Boys (ironic name, isn't it?). If you have a chance to find the record, it's on the Tim/Kerr label, and was released in 1993. Quite interesting stuff. - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael J.
