She looked good, but disappeared before I could say hello. The show was really good; I've never seen anyone get feedback of a dulcimer (or maybe it was a zither) before. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 May 1998 23:38:07 -0500 From: bobcolby@tiac.net (Bob Colby) Subject: [MLL] She's Back! Folks: Last night I went to the Middle East to see the Bevis Frond. The cheap and lazy side of me grumbled that I'd just seen them in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago (as part of Terrastock West), but the music-loving side eventually won the argument. Of course, when I got there I looked around to see if Mary Lou might be back in town. When I didn't see her, I figured she was still out West. But near the end of the Frond's set (great as always), I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around, and there she was, looking and (according to both her and Kevin) feeling great. She will be taking it a bit easy for the moment, 'tho ("touring", she said, "kicked my ass"). Between now and the Lilith dates, there'll be at least one make-up show in Chicago, but she didn't seem sure as to how many others there might be. She'll be doing Newbury St again, of course. And she would like to start posting again as soon as she has the equipment (her only experience of cyberspace is AOL, but I'm trying to make her more aware of the list). I was, BTW, assured that Sony still stands behind her. Thought you'd all like to know!
