This may be set by her or her booking agent but that is why prices vary. I wouldnt say its her fault though, just like the fact that she has yet to play an all ages show in Philladelphia isnt either. I HOPE... >> >> >>>The show wasn't $15 as it said in the ad. It was only $5. << I don't wish to rank on anyone, but I do want everyone on the list to realize that Mary Lou does not charge high ticket prices just to get high guarantees. Being on a major does not mean she treats her fans any differently or has decided to cash in. And she did just play an all ages show in Philladelphia. Playing all ages shows is very important to her. She is trying to play all ages her possible, and when not, is often playing an in-store to make up for it (and they will mostly be solo, in case someone doesn't want to see the band - -- and free)...in Seattle she is ending up playing two shows, one all ages (and again solo) on the 29th at the Velvet Elvis. Oh, and if you are in the midwest - St. Louis, Iowa City, Minneapolis - Mary ou wil be playing with the Raging Teens, Slim Dunlop ans THE BEVIS FROND!!! - so don't miss these shows....the Bevis Frond are amazing live....and I am sure there will be moments where both Nick and Mary Lou play together. And Nick recently wrote some Rockabilly songs for the Raging Teens, and he may even play with them.... ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Mar 1998 16:40:52 -0500 (EST) From: Michael Zwirn Subject: [MLL] Addicted to Noise quote Anyone else see this quote in 3/10's Addicted to Noise: 'It'll be a lot easier next time ... ' "We had such a high level of expectation and standard that Mary [Lou Lord] wasn't going to deviate from, yet at the same time [she] had not had experience in creating such a record. It'll be a lot easier next time, because now she has this experience to draw from." -- Tom Rothrock (Beck, Elliott Smith), who, with partner Rob Schnapf, produced Mary Lou Lord's major-label debut, Got No Shadow. - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael J.
