Thanks for explaining that. I thought emails went to a queue that were checked and then put through. All the years on this list and I never knew that. ________________________________ From: Mike Connell To: "Kiera @ JKF" ; EDA Sent: Fri, 21 May, 2010 1:12:34 Subject: Re: [EDA] EDA Spam? I recommend you don't open it. Just another case of a list member's email being hacked/hijacked. Only list members can post and if their email gets compromised like Larry's and Eliot's did earlier this month, any email to the list gets trhough. You'll notice today's spam was snet to a couple dozen email adddresses. Guess people are getting more and more careless with anti-virus protections and/or crappy passwords that are easy to crack. This song written and performed by her in 1999 at age 13 clearly reflects that infuence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFaAbWOT8rw Mike ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 May 2010 08:03:57 -0700 From: bizzle Subject: Re: [EDA] Crystal Bowersox at 13 showing Jewel's influence Thanks for sharing her videos Mike! She was adorable at 13 and already such a good guitar player. I love the chorus of the song (verses not so strong, but hey she's 13!). Anyway, there are certainly moments during this performance where she sounds just like jewel! Amazing ... I think I'm voting fir crystal; however, I think this is the first year that I like both finalists pretty equally. Very impressive, especially for a 13 year old. About half way through the song I thought, "If I couldn't see who was singing, and this performance was slipped into some Jewel show CD, I could almost mistake her for Jewel." Crystal has a way of making each song unique to her in a very comfortable, subtle way. And she has a unique "sound." Thanks for sharing.
