Well see when you put it that way Dave, the curiosity side to me breaks out and gets hungry to see just how 'Hmmmm' it can be. I'm sure it'll be on YouTube somewhere soon enough. As usual, I will just have to sit patiently and wait but I appreciate the review. ________________________________ From: Dave McGovern To: Jewel List ; "Kiera @ JKF" Sent: Tue, 18 May, 2010 2:05:28 Subject: Re: [EDA] Satisfied, not really. If I knew how to grab the video off the screen and re-post it somewhere I would. But for now, you'll just have to settle for my humble review. In a word, "Hmmmm." Well, that's sort of a word. The video wasn't bad, but my impression was that of being underwhelmed. The lighting wasn't great, and I understand what B. Olson was saying about how she could have looked better. Maybe if she looked more like she was happier instead of having such a somber expression? Heck, this is a happy song, with a feel-good message. The "audience" members were all smiling, but Jewel looked almost sad most of the time. Strange. And the tempo seemed to drag just a little bit. Not a lot...just a little. The editing was interesting too. Cut-cut-cut-cut-cut-cut-cut...holy smokes...take it easy. It wasn't really that bad, but a few less camera cuts would probably have worked better. On the whole, not a bad video, but it could have been better. For those who can't see the video yet, don't lose any sleep over it. The video wasn't so bad for me until the audience starts coming in like Dave said. The cutaways get really annoying. Ugh. The art design was really pretty for the video, but it did seem really somber. Her makeup would've been better I suppose, but I didn't think she looked too old. It's the shadows that is making her look "older." Besides, she IS older now, and there's nothing wrong with how she looks ;) I think she looks nicer here than on the album cover. I love the dress!
