It's my little brand of folksy, country hard-to-define genre. It has whimsical lyrics, and has a shuffle similar to "You Were Meant For Me." For those hardcores who know this song from bootlegs - it is different. I changed it from waltz time to 4/4, I created a chorus hook by changing chords... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Apr 2010 08:24:23 EDT From: rawhite78@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel's new blog! Every song that she changed, that I _really_ liked before, came out worse to my ears. You're in Cleveland Today comes to mind. But then again, I remember some people liking Cleveland better than You're in Cleveland Today, so maybe I'm just odd. In a message dated 4/24/2010 5:20:46 A.M. But the good thing is:.. As bad as that version of Satellite is, as bad as everything she might've done is to you, if you care about those original versions you still have them. And they still sound lovely. So nothing on an official album can ever cause that to go away... As much as Jewel has not much to do with what I listen to today (recently I'm listening to Dex Pistols, M.I.A. and toe) there's always gonna be a place in my heart for those early recordings, no matter how much she rerecords them. They're mostly inside my head. And if they're not there, someone probably had a half-decent recording! That's why I'm still a member of this awesome list.
