Anyway, to those of you who aren't aware, I'd really like your thoughts on whether or not I should shut the forum down or change it. I have setup a poll where members can vote or even just post your comments. The link is as follows http://www.jewelkilcherforum.com/showthread.php?t=3298 If you're not a member, please feel free to share your ideas/suggestions/thoughts on if I should shut the forum down. We've been running for over 5 years now but I'm conscious now about whether there's a purpose for it anymore what with Jewel posting so much on twitter and her own website with her blogs. The forum was started because there was no free forum available for fans at the time and we were very successful up until the last year but with Jewel communicating more with fans through these other methods, there has been less activity in the forum. To those of you who have already voted and/or commented...thanks so much! Thanks a mil for all your help Kiera JKF Admin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Mar 2010 23:02:05 -0500 From: scott anthony Subject: Re: [EDA] njc: joanna newsom I second this recommendation. I have to say, though, you kind of need to make it an experience--a la Bjork's Vespertine. One of my absolute favorite albums in existence is Joanna's Ys. Five songs, most of them over 10 minutes long. Absolute poetry. It's been even harder to see or get involved in anything Jewel related any more because it's all been based in the US. So what do you think the chances are? If you say 'slim to none' I think I'll cry. Ok, that's a bit dramatic but hey, try working that magic of yours and plant a seed in her mind on that one. All the European fans will be forever grateful!! Kiera ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V14 #24 ***************************
